Weather Updates- The Enviromanager meteorological station
We have installed a new Enviromanager meteorological station at the habitat, kindly donated by Enviromanager and Cirrus.
The station will accurately measure temperature, dust concentration in the air, precipitation and weather trends around the habitat.
The station will help the Ramonauts asses risks of sand storms and other conditions, that will allow them to safely perform EAV (extravehicular activity) missions.
Sand storms are a major risk on Mars, since they can ruin research and life support equipment and endanger Astronauts’ lives if caught unprepared. Since some missions and measurement can be taken only on Mars’ surface, a meteorological station is crucial for scientific research and life of mars.
